The $300,000 Holden Commodore: another example of Australia’s fastest car, the HSV GTS-R W1, goes up for auction

The last cars are still rolling off the line at HSV’s final assembly facility in Clayton.


But those keen to jump the queue can do so at a price.


A red example — number 36 of 300 — is going under the hammer at Lloyds Auction on the Gold Coast at midday this Saturday.


The auction house claims the W1 will fetch close to $300,000, although so far no-one has paid that much for one.
